Awesome! I liked the simplified explanation of Polyvagal Theory and loved the inclusion of actual practices and techniques to use with clients. Informative and helpful.
TREASURES OF KNOWLEDGE WISDOM GENEROSITY AUTHENTICITY AND SKILLS TO EXPLORE!!!!
THANK YOU
How do you differentiate clients who are ventral-dorsal disregulated from those who have a neurological disorders, or who are neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, Processing disorders?) and how you adjust your practice to this?
I listened to the first presenter for the second day, but for the second one, I was asked to sign in to YouTube in case I was a bot. After clearing all previous uses and still getting the sign-in requirement, I conclude that I will do without seeing the second day presenters. I no longer sign in to multiple sites in order to view any video.
I especially appreciated the Anchoring exercise, but was a little dismayed to realize I’ve never had anyone in my life that I feel safe around. Only places in Nature, all alone. At least it’s an awareness now.
The Discernment question is something I’ve already been using but didn’t know was a thing…: “Is this the right response for right here, right now, to this person?”
And the Story exercise was helpful in showing me the descent into Dorsal collapse so that I might be more aware of it in the future. I think I may be able to see the “story” unfolding.
Thank you, Deb. I really appreciated this.
Christopher was great too – thanks for a great interview!

This has been so helpful and accessible, and delivered with such pleasure and respect, thank you Deb Dana.
Thank you so much for the exercises that were demonstrated in this presentation! I enjoyed watching the exchange between Deb and Christopher. They were so helpful and gave me such a deeper understanding concerning mindset, the stories we tell ourselves, and how we can self-regulate.
This seminar is excellent. I’ve heard Pat Ogden and Deb Dana. Each of them have presented substantial information and demonstrations that will significantly add to my practice and benefit my patients.
Such a clear presentation, very helpful information. Will use this in my practice. Thank you so much for your work Deb Dana.
Such gems of wisdom in what I heard, but….Please…both of you ending each sentence with “ right” actually made it so hard to listen to. I so was looking forward to this one, but just couldn’t listen
I second Monika’s question re: neurodivergence. Also, I’m curious how to this approach might look with children and teens.
Thank you Deb for such a clear, calm, paced, informative presentation.
Thank you for being an excellent teacher. Your ability to share knowledge is amazing. Revisiting, co regulating and connecting with you was meaningful and enriching. Sincere gratitude
Loved, Loved, Loved! Thank you so much for the insight into the ventral vagal anchors. I found it to be so useful just for myself while watching and listening. And will definitely take this forward into my own therapy sessions. Beautifully presented.
A clear explanation of the nervous system. It was a resourceful explanation. Thank you.
Brilliant session! Deb has really helped us understand the polyvagal theory and integrated it so well to practice. Very useful for me as I work with young people.
the talking of Deb Dana was zo fast and excited that I stoped the webinar.
Oh, you two! <3 Thank you so much! Your authenticity touched me
I have concerns that if I own my stuff and take a few minutes to regulate that they (some of them) will be thinking, “I am paying you a lot of money to help you regulate.” I’d love some thoughts on that.
Gracias!!!! Lama era sencilla directa clara de explicar, todo, la belleza y luminosidad al llevarla a nuestra persona y en relaciones con los demás, Nos humaniza!! Me humaniza! ! Me devuelve a mi Ser, si juicio ni critica si juzgar, solo encontrando la energía el enclave Ventral … Gracias!!!
Amazing talk and very much needed in todays times!
Thank you, Deb, for the enlightenment.
I´m a psychologist specialty in trauma I like a lot the exposition of Deb Dana, I practice the exercises that were demonstrated in this presentation with my patients who arrived dysregulation to my consultation. Thanks you Deb
I’m a teacher and was delighted to see how many of the exercises I’ve created for secondary students in Language Arts have happened to include some kind of ventral vagal anchoring (self-reflective writing about a place where you’ve felt centered, for example, with a hands-on exercise of creating a collage that captures the feel of that place that students then have as a reference to use when they need to better regulate their nervous systems). Having watched this wonderful presentation, I have ideas for how to improve those kinds of exercises- and how to create more. Thank you so much for offering this.
Thank you, good to have this understanding.
Such a great interview and demonstration. I loved all the ah ha moments experienced. More techniques to add to the tool box
What is your opinion of the patches now sold online that you place on your vagus nerve (around the shoulder) The last ones I bought had copper filaments and lasted for 2-3 days. What I mean by lasted, is that I felt uncharacteristically cool, calm and collected! I haven’t yet bought a second batch.
Thank you Dana for a wonderful presentation so much wisdom and useful tools. Really enjoyed watching you two interact being so authentic and open very inspiring.
I so loved this interview … Christopher’s vulnerability and genuineness added another layer to Deb’s wisdom. 🙏🏼 Thank you.
Lovely teamwork facilitates emerging learning of PVT’s somewhat elusive concepts. Thank you.
I loved this exchange and could relate to it in so many ways. The hierarchy and its terms are specific and interesting but require intense concentration so sort each out. The examples and therapy that played out made it so much easier to understand . I found it fascinating and so true … an important foundation . I listened to it twice and probably need to listen to it again to help solidify the terminology.
Amazing! Thank you Deb Dana and Christopher Willard for making Polyvagal theory fun to learn. So many aha moments!
Oh my God this has been very valuable and interesting, creating ventral anchors (who, what, when and where) not only for our clients but also for ourselves and I love that it reminds us how believing and practicing what we teach our clients allows us to know that it can also work for them because we have the experience. I am loving this journry olf befriending my nervous system
Really appreciated Deb Dana s clear and applicable working with 3 organisational principles and experience of the three pathways we show up our biology in..loved the examples of ventral anchors and ways to disclose own ‘messy mornings’ return to centre or ventral safety connection and supporting clients to non judgmental understanding of their biology and how to reshape previous patterns or stuckness. Loved that Christopher too had similar ah a s with practices encouraged and connection to the different people, places, cherished tokens that are ventral anchors lol reinforced mine ..and capacity to make this visible to clients in their own in between pets,,people, or objects etc. Lovely session flow both of you 🫶🌻🤔
Mr Willard, your laughter brought it home for me. The session was truly lived trough your joyful curiosity .
Ms Dana , Thank you for your presence
Thank you for your time and generosity in sharing this wisdom 🙏🏽
Just worderful! Thank you Deb and Christopher
Thus far I have shied away from diving further into polyvagal theory as it’s felt a bit complicated and inaccessible, so thank you Deb for a very accessible and human explanation of how it can be applied to both ourselves and our clients.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience, and for this inspiring training.
I had the privilege of attending a 2 day conference where Deb Dana was the only presenter. She has a thoughtful and thorough style of explaining Polyvagal. I’m still learning, and that’s ok😊
Thank you very much for your warm and inspiring ideas about self-compassion in psychotherapy, Shari Geller, and Galia Tyano Ronen. You visualized how to become aware of self-compassion as powerful resource of understanding concerning therapeutic prosess, mirroring client’s deep emotions and needs. It was so nice to be present with you!
